Voyager Sopris Learning launched the updated Voyager Passport, a K–5 reading intervention program that earned ESSA’s Tier 1—Strong rating. The program, intended for students who need instruction beyond the core, empowers teachers by providing comprehensive, explicit, and systematic instruction in the five essential components of reading, plus language and writing.
Voyager Sopris Learning today announced the winners of its LANGUAGE! Live Literacy Acceleration Grant program, which was created to help districts increase literacy achievement in struggling students. Recipients will receive at least six months of Voyager Sopris Learning’s LANGUAGE! Live, an award-winning literacy curriculum proven to help struggling readers and writers achieve grade-level reading expectations.
The Literacy Symposium will provide PreK to college educators with an opportunity to explore the relationships among language, reading, and writing, plus connect theory to classroom practice. Sessions are designed for teachers, instructional coaches, administrators, curriculum directors, and professional developers.
Hawkins (Texas) Elementary School and Andover (Mass.) High School are the grand prize winners of the “#IAmMore” contest, Voyager Sopris Learning and WeAreTeachers jointly announced today. Earlier this school year, the #IAmMore movement was introduced, designed to embolden educators and students to effect change, believe in the power of literacy, and allow them to claim their strengths and potential.
